So, I'm trying to think up brilliant things I can post on this blog...
Any suggestions?
I figured this would be a fun place to start - meet the newest member of my family: Mr. Crosley.

Mr. Crosley has spent many a night making me swoon to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Barry Manilow... He has makes me sigh in contentment as Rosemary Clooney, Etta James & Barbara Streisand lull me to sleep with their smooth, sensual vocals... He makes me laugh as Abba, Captain & Tennille & The Beach Boys take me back in time...
Yes - Mr. Crosley you have my heart.

"Let hope rise
And darkness tremble in Your HOLY light
That every eye will see
Jesus our GOD
Great & might to be saved!"
May this Easter be a blessing & a great opportunity for you to remember the greatness of our glorious Saviour!
And the fact that through Jesus - death & darkness was conquered forever.

So... over the past few weeks I have really been struggling with doubt as to what God's plan is for my life. I know without a doubt that I have been put here in Minnesota for such a time as this... but it can be incredibly discouraging. I've been here for just over 2 months now & I'm still looking for a job. Its not like I haven't been looking... I've probably applied to over 20 places... I've been pursuing them... But nothings happening... I know that God has it all under control & that his plans for me are grand. But patience & perseverance is so difficult for me.
I guess all I can do right now is hold on to this truth:
God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. ~Ephesians 1:9-11
I do know that I won't spend the rest of my life here in farmland... I love it dearly - but my soul longs to travel... But right now - I'm here.
All of your prayers would be greatly appreciated... Your friendship & love means the world to me...

My heart hurts... It aches when I see people in pain...
I absolutely hate the way the Enemy lies & manipulates.
Sometimes it feels so out of control...
But I know the Lord has put me here for such a time as this...
Even though I may not have all of the right words to say.
I can be there.
Be a listening ear.
A shoulder to cry on.
Pray...& pray...& pray...

Help me Father God... Help me stay strong...
And be You to the lost & the hurting...

This is my first Song of the Week of 2010! Sorry about the delay getting this up... I choose a song for this week written by the lovely Brooke (Fraser) Ligertwood. This is a song off the Hillsong United album: TEAR DOWN THE WALLS [a_cross//the_EARTH]. This has to be one of my all time favourite Hillsong tunes... which is crazy because I love all of the music. Plus I had the great honour to be apart of this particular album recording.
I hope you fully enjoy this...
Love always,
Soon
Soon and very soon my King is coming
Robed in righteousness and crowned with love
When I see Him I shall be made like Him
Soon and very soon

Soon and very soon
I'll be going to the place He has prepared for me
There my sin erased my shame forgotten
Soon and very soon

I will be with the one I love
With unveiled face I'll see Him
There my soul will be satisfied
Soon and very soon

Soon and very soon see the procession
The angels and the elders round the throne
At His feet I lay my crowns my worship
Soon and very soon

I will be with the one I love
With unveiled face I'll see Him
There my soul will be satisfied
Soon and very soon

Though I have not seen Him my heart knows Him well
Jesus Christ the lamb the Lord of heaven

I will be with the one I love
With unveiled face I'll see Him
There my soul will be satisfied
Soon and very soon

Wow... 2010... I can't believe its here...

So, my last blog entry was written from a cafe in beautiful (warm) Australia... Now I am writing to you from a coffee shop in middle of snow covered, but equally beautiful Minnesota..

I've been back state-side for a month now. I've had an amazing time spending the Christmas season with my family & friends. I was very low-keyed - but that's the way I like to spend the holidays. I did enjoy many a night sitting in front of the fireplace drinking coffee & spiced cider watching my favourite Christmas movies. Christmas Day consisted of sleeping in, snowball fights, making snowmen, lots of good(bad) food, & backrubs.

New Years was a tad different that usual... On the 31st I had a wedding rehearsal & groom's dinner for my cousin & his fiancee who got married on New Years Day. It was loads of fun, but the really different thing about those 2 days was the fact that I had just had my wisdom teeth out! Yup... I played in a wedding with chipmunk cheeks...

So, what did you do for Christmas & New Years?
